Behind the Scenes with Beth

Don't you wonder who makes these amazing events happen? I've always been intrigued by the people behind the scenes, the people you usually never hear about. I want to share a few of these people with you. Today we're starting with the Director of Extraordinary Women.

Meet Beth!

She's the Director of Extraordinary Women Conferences -- and she's one incredible and incredibly organized lady.

Beth has been with Extraordinary Women since 2007. She oversees all the details of every Conference. She works with the artists & speakers; handles the location details; oversees the set-up for each event; and is there when everyone leaves to see that all is closed up correctly.

Her work takes her all across the country all year long, but it's not all glamour. Really, there's very little glamour. While we're out there enjoying the speakers and the music, Beth & her team are working. While we're eating lunch and chatting, Beth & her team are working. While we're meeting the speakers and artists or shopping, Beth & her team are working. She's the first one to arrive at the event and the last one to leave.

But I wanted to know more about Beth.... important stuff like:

What's your favorite website: Landsend.com or Blackby.org

Favorite TV show: no TV for Beth

Coke or Pepsi: Diet Mountain Dew

Favorite Starbucks drink: no coffee, but Venti Lemonade is a fav

Pets: Daisy Lou

And new baby, Brinkley. Aren't they the cutest things!

Favorite Scripture: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will guide your path. Proverbs 3:5-6

Constant travel, long hours, and lots & lots of details are what makes up Beth's life, but she also is blessed with a wonderful team, great bosses, and surrounded by incredible people. I asked her to share her favorite part of her job and she said "Let me share what motivates me -- worship. Watching all those women worship." And Beth does more than watch, she worships alongside the women. "This is where I draw my strength."

When you're at your next Extraordinary Women Conference look for Beth, you'll probably see her near the stage, radio in hand, taking care of all the details that make these events incredible.

How it Happens....

The Extraordinary Women Conference happens all over the place from the arena to the halls.

It happens on the platform when the speakers challenge you to dig deeper into God's Word.

It happens when the music touches your spirit and your hands raise in praise.

It happens in the seats when sisters in the faith join together.

It happens when you laugh - out loud.

And it happens at ministry tables

It happens in chance encounters and while we wait

Extraordinary Women happens while you're at the conference and it happens at home, in your church, in your daily life. It happens when you take the weekend and make it real in your every day life.

If you've not made it to an Extraordinary Women Conference this year don't worry, there's still time. You don't want to miss this blessing!

E-Women B'ham was INCREDIBLE!

I spent Friday night and Saturday in the presence of the Lord and some Extraordinary Women.

The conference blessed me beyond measure! I hope that over the days to come I'll be able to share just a fraction of the grace that God poured over me this weekend.

Free to be Real is the theme for this event and what a wonderful theme!

The Lord and the Spirit are one and the same, and the Lord's Spirit sets us
free. 1 Corinth 3:17

I'm going to share snippets of this event over the days to come, but until then here are some of the Extraordinary Women I stood alongside as we praised & worshipped the Lord together.

It was a joy and and honor to worship with each of you. I hope that we will do it again soon! Don't forget E-Women is coming back to Birmingham next year and there are several more stops coming in the fall.

If you can make it to a conference, get there. You will be blessed!

Birmingham, Al -- E-Women is headed your way! May 15/16

Will you be there? I WILL! and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.

Have you checked out this event -- my word, the lineup of speakers and artists just gives me chills!

I'm so looking forward to hearing what the Lord has placed on each speakers heart and I can't wait to hear the music! Oh my, Matthew West -- I can't wait to hear The Motions live! That song just speaks to my heart. "I don't want to go one more day without Your all-consuming passion inside of me."

I'm telling you, that song can preach!

I'm so jazzed that NewSong will be there!!

And the SPEAKERS! Whoa! There's going to be Word brought --
Angela Thomas, Stormie OMartian, Karen Kingsbury, Thelma Wells, and Chondra Pierce.

I'm ready... now, I just have to figure out what to wear. Oh, wait, I need two outfits. Cute, functional, and comfortable.

Are you going to be in Birmingham? Or at another Extraordinary Women Conference. Let me know. Just click the word comments and share your thoughts.
