A message from Candace Cameron Bure
I'm so excited to get back into the "speaking" groove after my summer break. E Women is one of my favorite conferences and you're all in for a treat. I'll be sharing my testimony, growing up in Hollywood, how my faith fit in and where I'm at today. I may even share a little bit about my husband. :)
I can't wait to meet you and share with you and even more, I'm looking forward to hearing all the other performers and speakers to be encouraged and inspired myself.
I've had a super busy summer, being back on TV on my new show "Make It Or Break It" on ABC Family Channel. We're moving back to Los Angeles (my hometown) since the show got picked up for another season! As exciting as that is, my first priority is my family and where I'll put my kids in school. We've been praying a lot and waiting on the Lord to show us which school will be best for our family. Exciting stuff, but one I don't want to mess up! Can you feel me moms?
I'll see you at E Women!

Meet Melanie -- Volunteer Spotlight!
I asked Melanie to share a little about being a volunteer for E-Women.
How did you hear about volunteering for E-Women?
My church, Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Vestavia Hills, AL, hosted the E-Women event last year, so I knew this was a quality event that would be fun to volunteer at again!
Where did you volunteer?
I was a hostess- I took care of Chonda Pierce.
Oh my, that sounds like fun. What was your favorite part of volunteering?
Seeing behind the scenes, meeting all the people that make an event of this magnitude work was an honor and privilege.
You worked with Chonda, who's a joy! Any funny stories, touching moments you wish to share?
Chonda is a MESS! She kept me laughing and on my toes. Her battle with depression touched the hearts of so many; ladies from all around the country came up to her in her 'signing line' to tell her how much they related to her struggles. Chonda is giving hope to many Christian women- through honest truth and laughter!
What was your favorite part of the conference?
My favorite part of the conference is the high-energy Praise and Worship. No matter who's leading in song, audiences are led to the Throne!
How will you take what you learned at this conference and use it in your life?
Each E-Women's conference reminds me that God uses EVERY struggle to help you relate to others that need Him.
What would tell someone who's interested in becoming a volunteer? Any hints, tips or advice?
Get on board. Not only do you get a free ticket inside the scenes of E-Women, but you get to meet great men and women who serve the Lord with their entire lives. Advice to future volunteers: come with a servants-heart, flexible and willing to serve wherever you're needed. There's no greater volunteer than those who will roll up their sleeves and get messy!
I would love to volunteer in the future! This conference always reaches the needs of so many women and it's worth every minute!
You can find Melanie at www.meldill.blogspot.com -- she has a great blog with lots of ministry related ideas! Check it out!
You can add my blog if you'd like: www.meldill.blogspot.com
I update it very regularly and have lots of ministry-related-ideas each week.

They are back! And we are all so happy to have them home. After an amazing time in Nicaragua Julie, Michael, Beth, and Megan are back in the states.
They’ve brought stories that will break your heart and stories of God’s amazing grace. I hope to have those to share with you soon. Right now our team is adjusting to being back home, but they did bring some incredible pictures to share.
The Nicaragua Country Compassion team, the US Compassion Team, and the E-Women Team!
And they brought some incredible pictures of the children they met.
Just look at these faces! Maybe you can sponsor a Compassion child. It’s less than $1.50 a day! I spend then that on coffee – please consider making a difference for children just like these.
Watch for more stories about the Compassion children and don’t forget to take a glance at the children in need of a sponsor. You can find them by clicking on the word Compassion above or by taking a look at the box to the right!
